I am looking forward with great anticpation to being part of the pilgrimage and to getting to know St. Paul better. I pray that both the real and virtual pilgrims will grow spiritually through the experience.+Francis

Good morning,
I would like to wish all the pilgrims well. I hope you have a safe and spiritually enriching journey.
To the people at CatholicLIFE who organised this blog, I think it would have been better to invite a lay person, who isn’t part of the local Catholic hierarchy, to contribute to the blog. I think there are 31 lay people embarking on this pilgrimage. From my perspective, it would have been nice to have some perspective from one of them rather than having a male, elitist, archdiocesan perspective. My understanding is that there are many lay men and women who aren’t employed by the archdiocese travelling on this pilgrimage and their perspective would have been interesting too.
God bless and happy travelling

Thanks Pilgrim watcher for your questions. All the members of the Pilgrimage group have been offered the opportunity to Blog their reflections, insights and experiences. We are hoping that some of them take up the offer. What we have done at this stage is identify the main Bloggers who have put up their hand to contribute. Hopefully once the rest of the group see it working they will join in. Once again, thanks for your feedback.

Greetings to the pilgrims who are walking the steps of St Paul for us – we are certainly with you in spirit. Fr Phil Harding and the parish of Sacred Heart, Temora, are praying for your safe journey. A number of us here in downtown Temora were able to enjoy the talks on St Paul from Bishop Mark’s DVD and we envy the good fortune of those of you who have taken this generous action of retracing St Paul’s steps on our behalf. We look forward to hearing lots of insights from every one of you as you bring your personal gifts to this group pilgrimage. To our many friends en route, bon voyage.

Pilgrim Watcher makes a good point and I am delighted to read CatholicLIFE’s response. But my particular good wishes go with Pieter and Sheila who are joing the group tomorrow. If either of them contributes to the blog then that will be a miracle, but I am looking forward to hearing from them somehow. Perhaps the bloggers may be able to pass on the reactions of the members of the group who are not comfortable with the Internet

What a great initiative of CatholicLIFE. Congratulations. It will allow so many at home to feel part of this pilgrimage through the insights of the pilgrims. No doubt it will prompt some to re-visit Bishop Mark’s most inspiring DVD for those of us who need to ‘jog our memories’ on Paul’s footsteps.

I wait with great anticipation for the arrival of the pilgrims. We have already come from many places and soon we will be one with the image of St Paul the centre of our oneness. Neil

Congratulations to all concerned with this Catholic Life iniative.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the images and messages of old friends from Canberra obviously relishing ‘The Footsteps of St Paul’ experience. Well done everyone!
