Corinth

Saint Paul spent eighteen months in Corinth (Acts 18:11), working as a tentmaker with Aquila and Priscilla and preaching in the synagogue. Here he stood before the proconsul Gallio (Acts 18:12–17), and to this church he later wrote First and Second Corinthians. Our articles on Corinth cover the ancient city, the bema where Paul was tried, and what pilgrims see today.
